WELCOME
Friends of Usambara Society utilizes sustainable tourism, tree planting, and community forestry for Usambara Mountains conservation. With a goal to plant 100 million trees by 2025 and 1 billion nationwide by 2030, the organization seeks expanded funding and efforts in other Eastern Arc Mountain ranges. Simultaneously addressing poverty and environmental issues, the society engages students in 4-H Million Trees clubs, fostering a new generation of conservation leaders to combat climate change and promote sustainable practices for a resilient future.

Welcome to Friends of Usambara’s Tree Planting Project!
Join us in combating climate change by contributing to our tree planting initiative. Your support helps achieve Sustainable Development Goals, empowering global citizens to make a positive impact. Contribute funds to grow trees at US$0.10 each, volunteer, or support agroforestry education for subsistence farmers. Take immediate climate action by planting a 5,000 tree forest for US$500 and achieve carbon neutrality. We’ve planted over 20 million trees in the West Usambara Mountains and aim to plant 1 billion trees in East Africa by 2030. Explore why we plant and how our efforts benefit biodiversity, combat deforestation, and support local communities. Together, let’s create a greener, sustainable future!
