Description:
Day 1-3:
Zanzibar. Tour, sightseeing and visit points of interest, national museum, house of wonder, slave market and spices tours.
Day 4-5:
long znzTravel from Zanzibar by boat to Dar es Salaam.
Day 6-9:
Explore/cycling into the Galapagos of Africa” the Usambara mountains,” well known as “the Switzerland of Tanzania”.
Day 10-11:
Cycle to Mt. Kilimanjaro, passing through an area occupied by the Maasai ethnic group, crossing the Mkomazi National park. On request one day safari to this unique National park rich in biodiversity can be organized by Friends of Usambara Society.
Day 12-16:
Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro the roof of Africa (19,000 ft) and return to Moshi to celebrate. Safari into Tanzania national park can be organized; however you can extend your staying by visiting some of Tanzania Cultural Tourism program.

Cycling Conditions:
longride1 new50% dirt roads, a couple long hills and a rough steep 15km mountain bike descent.
Accommodations:
Mostly small Spartan rural hotels and mountain huts, no tent camping.
Van Support:None.
Local transport generally plentiful when need to be called upon. Mountain climbing gear is transferred from the coast to Moshi.
Meals Included:
Three meals per day, generally breakfast and dinner (rice, pasta, potato, meat, chicken, fish).
Other Activities:
Walking/trekking, involving high elevations (2000m-6000m), steep slopes and sometimes nasty weather, technical mountaineering skills are not required.
Bike: Mountain bike recommended.
